Chimney Mason/Technician Apprentice

Hudson Valley Chimney has a quality team for both Chimney Restoration Specialists and Brick / Block Masons and we are looking to add to our roster of awesome people.

We provide Paid training and will teach you a rewarding trade that can provide for you and your family.

We are a solid and profitable company established in 1976. We offer year round employment for those interested in a career that allows you to be outdoors as well as indoors. Our services include all aspects of Chimney Service including cleanings, masonry, inspections, caps, stove and fireplace installations and all repairs. You will be an apprentice trained under the supervision of highly experienced Certified Sweeps allowing you to advance quickly in our company. We offer a relaxed work atmosphere and our culture is what candidates expect and are looking for.

Duties include but are not limited to:

For Apprentices:

• Able to climb ladders, not be afraid of heights and be able to work on roofs

For Certified Chimney Technicians:

• Inspect, evaluate and diagnose chimneys and appliances
• Write reports and estimates
• Want to have fun at work
• Communicate with customers & colleagues
• Chimney repairs, chimney crowns, repointing/tuckpointing, and flashing
• Sweep chimneys, fireplaces, and stoves
• Install chimney caps, chase covers, etc.
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to climb ladders, not be afraid of heights and be able to work on roofs

For Masons

• Chimney masonry building/rebuilding.
• Want to have fun at work
• Chimney masonry repairs
• Brick and Block
• Install Stainless Steel liners, stoves and fireplaces, and metal chimneys
• Able to climb ladders, not be afraid of heights and be able to work on roofs
• Communicate with customers & colleagues

Salary: $41,000.00 to $75,000.00 and up /year
