This position services handheld dental instruments onsite (i.e., sharpening, refurbishing, repairing, etc.) to functional condition and according to instrument specifications. This work is completed onsite and remotely at customer locations. In addition, this position creates prototype instruments from making through finishing.

Position Summary
This position services handheld dental instruments onsite (i.e., sharpening, refurbishing, repairing, etc.) to functional condition and according to instrument specifications. This work is completed onsite and remotely at customer locations. In addition, this position creates prototype instruments from making through finishing.
Duties
- Receive instrument repairs and determine repair or sharpening needs
- Prepare and clean instruments before, during and after the repair process
- Select appropriate equipment/tooling; sharpen or repair instruments
- Complete required documentation for all repairs performed. Deliver finished instruments to Technical Service representative
- Knowledge of building bending fixtures, making instruments, finishing, and repairing all dental instrument families
- Will be required to make some independent judgments concerning product quality and take necessary corrective action.
- Quality of repair work, as well as prototype making, and finishing must be consistently at a very high level
- Domestic travel to customer sites required 25-30% of time
- Complete individual tasks as assigned by Supervisor ensuring timeliness and follow through and complete other responsibilities, as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- 0-3 years experience
- Good communication skills (oral, reading, and writing. *
- Basic math skills. *
- Minimal to moderate physical strength is needed
