ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Service Mechanic functions as part of the Service Team and is responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment.In this role, you will:
- Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
- Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
- Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.

- minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
- possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
- minimum 21 years of age
- clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- above average communication skills
- ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
- ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- will be working in operating facilities and outdoors traveling to customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.
- will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazards where appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
- must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
- requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis.
- requires driving a van/truck to and from customer locations
