They work under the supervision of a sleep physician or other healthcare professionals to prepare patients for studies, monitor them during sleep, collect and analyze data, and perform administrative tasks.

They work under the supervision of a sleep physician or other healthcare professionals to prepare patients for studies, monitor them during sleep, collect and analyze data, and perform administrative tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent AND Completion of one of the following programs and proof of passing certification/licensure:
- Associate's degree in sleep technology or a related field (preferred).
- Completion of a sleep technologist certification program (required in some states).
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in operating sleep study equipment, including EEG, EMG, and ECG monitors.
- Ability to interpret basic physiological data.
- Data entry and analysis skills.
- 1 year of experience in Sleep Lab preferred.
