What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Safety Screener position at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital?
Summary
The public safety screener will greet patients, visitors and healthcare personnel at points of entry within the Hospital. The screener should have a positive and energetic attitude with great customer service skills to greet and screen employees, physicians, providers, patients, and visitors upon entering the facility; using approved screening questions to ensure compliance with our entry screening process. Schedule may vary and may include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Public safety screener should: have the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently; be able to work with a variety of people while providing excellent customer service; have basic computer knowledge; be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule as needed; be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by HCMH to perform the job safely; and work great as a team player with positive representation of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience: Customer service or Healthcare background preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to communicate in a professional manner at all times; able to follow Hospital Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidance, ability to follow directions accurately; ability to evaluate situations and develop appropriate response plan with little to no direct supervision; excellent customer service skills; and basic computer knowledge.
