This role involves managing existing accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and other key customers.
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Provide expert guidance on lumber types, grades, and applications to meet customer needs.
- Process orders, track deliveries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to manage inventory levels and product availability.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, pricing, and competitor offerings.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in lumber sales, preferably in a wholesale or retail setting.
- Strong knowledge of lumber products, grading, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to negotiate pricing and close deals effectively.

- Experience using sales or inventory management software is a plus.
