Utility Worker- Temporary: Dixon, Illinois
Our customer in Dixon, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Utility Workers to work full-time on 1st/2nd swing shift. As a Utility Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support warehouse operations, including packing samples, cutting cores, maintaining cleanliness in the slitter area, stocking consumable items, emptying trash cans, assisting with slitter machine operations after proper training, and completing any other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Responsibilities of the Utility Worker:
- Pack samples and cut cores for SM21.
- Perform 5S housekeeping tasks, ensuring the slitter area, core cutter, and walkways are clean and safe.
- Stock consumable items such as tapes, oil cans, gloves, cleaner bottles, labels for printers, etc.
- Empty trash cans in the refresh area and transport trash dumpsters to the designated area at the end of the shift.
- Assist on slitter machines after receiving proper training and having the training signed off by a supervisor.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support daily operations and team needs.
Utility Worker Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (HSD) or GED required.
- Must wear steel-toed boots for safety compliance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and assist with various tasks as required.
Pay for Utility Worker: Starting at $18.73/hour.
