Accounts Payable Specialist - Treasury
New York City (Union Square)
Hybrid 3 days/week
Duration: 3 months
Pay Rate: Up to $55/hr W2 (Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, LTD Insurance)
As a Consultant on our client’s Treasury team, you will report to their US Treasurer. In this role, you will support world class financial reporting for a fast-growing dynamic company. In addition, you will work with the US Finance team and the Global Finance team, as well as coordinate with cross-function business partners to support continuing company growth and pursuit of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile cash movements and bank statements
- Monitor cash reconciliation tracker
- Prepare and update Excel spreadsheet reporting for daily funding
- Perform cash management operations (Accounts Payable and Funding) daily
- Ensure the integrity of Zip Co's treasury activities
- Monitor liquidity inflows and outflows for daily operations
- Collaborate with the Treasury team in the preparation of reports
- Review financial data provided by other cross-functional teams and identify and investigate issues and anomalies
- Identify and implement additional controls as needed
- Set up requested bank wires and bank transfers
- Collaborate with different teams in Finance and firm-wide
- Contribute to workflow optimization
- Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline
- 10 years of experience in a Finance/Treasury role, 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with accounting and reporting for Accounts Payable
- Comfort with ambiguity; Independent thinker who is happiest in the ‘grey’ – Zip is a fast-moving, agile organization and you need to be comfortable with little structure or precedent
- Strong financial acumen and accounting skills
- High-level intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Effective communication skills
