Job Description: As a Warehouse Associate at our grocery store, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to support the warehouse operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of groceries, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Stocking and organizing inventory in designated storage areas, following proper rotation procedures to maintain freshness.
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently, according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Assisting with inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals and meet customer demands.
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure compliance and consistency in warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurately counting and recording inventory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Certification or willingness to obtain certification for operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
