This job description is a general guide of the duties of the N-Line Operator working on the N-Line Machine. The functions are not all inclusive, and the employee may perform other functions in order to get the job done.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Insures accurate speed of N-Line Machine.
- Place roll on roll stand, push paper roll up to the platform. Splice paper onto existing roll.
- Operate hand controls to set paper roll.
- Infrequently a paper roll must be manually threaded through rollers (floor to overhead levels).
- Slide core out of roll stand.
- Crank paper to feed, cut of excess and place onto skid.
- Adds ink to machine as needed- bring buckets of ink to work station and set pumps into buckets.
- Set web guide as indicated.
- Cut and place stripper pads.
- Spray and clean glue heads.
- Lift folder up to align paper as needed.
- Spray rails with silicone as indicated.
- Visually inspect operation of machine and trouble shoot or adjust as needed.
- Responsible for quality of work produced.
- Some of these functions will overlap with the Packer.
- Works with Packer and insures that area is always clean by mopping.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
- Floor to wait 45 lbs.
- Carry up to 45 lbs.
- Push/Pull up 50 lbs. force.
