JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Specialist provides support via software solutions with the objective of improving operation efficiency at the Waterville facility. This position is responsible for assisting managers with identifying operational opportunities which can be solved with software solutions, researching options, and presenting them to the Plant Senior leadership to garner support for implementation. The position will provide a support role to IT via project management during software implementations. The position will be responsible for user training via both course development and taking the lead role in train-the-trainer opportunities. As a result, the person will lead multiple projects simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Desire and ability to quickly learn new applications and understand how they add value to Huhtamaki.
- Provides software support to users for Microsoft Office programs.
- Provides training with respect to current and future software solutions implemented in Waterville.
- Monitors performance of the software solutions used at the facility, makes change recommendations as appropriate to ensure maximum use value of the data captured and processes deployed.
- Supports resolution of software issues encountered by users.
- Leads facility-based software projects, coordinates implementations such that the needs of impacted departments are met.
- Collaborates with NA Information Technology team for best practice opportunities employed at other sites and support of software employed in Waterville.
- Assists in the overall digitalization of the organization, as required by corporate objectives for the Waterville facility.
- Performs technical services work in an integrated computer network environment.
QUALITIES:
- Due to the wide range of audiences, excellent communication skills required.
- An ability to analyze large data sets to make decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of the Alchemy training platform, Halo, Oracle, report writing, and all Microsoft Office products.
- College degree required, preferably in an Information Systems/ Math/Statistics/Engineering field or relevant experience.
