Job Description Summary of Primary Purpose Provide change management leadership and Lean Six Sigma expertise needed in the Huhtamaki Continuous Improvement Process. Working with all levels of management, the Black Belts facilitate cost savings and quality improvement projects within the operations cost centers, business groups, or corporate functions. Description of Major Responsibilities Plan and lead Lean Six Sigma BB projects Organize and facilitate Lean CI events. Deliver effective process and financial business improvements. Manage and coach Six Sigma GB projects. Plan and communicate CI initiatives and results with management staff. Document CO program, update CI database, conduct project report outs. Perform process measurement, and data mining. Assist organization with project selection and prioritization. Other duties as assigned. Hands on participation with Lean Six Sigma events and projects. Communicate and interact with all levels of organization. Facilitate team building, organizational leadership, and change management best practices. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job. Skills/knowledge Successful use of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology. Experience in WCM/TPM and Project Management Experience in the use of statistical tools/methodologies, computers, quality methods, and basic financial principles. Experience with OSIsoft PI Platforms, Minitab, Python or Visual Basic/Applications (VBA) a plus. Experience in Data Analytics or Data Science is preferred Experience in recruiting, leading, and developing a team. Must have strong communication skills at all levels in the organization and strong conflict resolution skills to reach consensus and common goals. Proficient with MS Office 365 products including MS Teams Communication Skills (listening, verbal, written). Analytical / Research Skills, Computer/Technical Literacy, Team Facilitation, Flexibility/Adaptability/Manage Multiple Priorities, Interpersonal abilities, Leadership/Management Skill, Multicultural Sensitivity, Planning/Organizing Skills, Problem Solving/Reasoning Skills, Teamwork. Experience/education The qualified candidate would hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, science or equivalent. They would have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, Blackbelt preferred and 1-year experience leading teams. Qualifications Bachelor degree required, Engineering preferred or in a related field. Computer/Technical Literacy, Strong Excel/Powerpoint, and database skills required – Minitab or similar statistical software preferred. Green Belt/Black Belt experience preferred. Demonstrated successful project management experience. Excellent communication skills, Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict. Limited travel required. Physical Requirements Will work in a manufacturing environment and will use the following equipment: computer, printer, copier, fax, telephone. Requirements walking (50%), standing (30%) and sitting (20%). Requires full range of body motion such as twisting, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching at/above/below shoulders and lifting up to 35 lbs., on a regular basis, and agility to handle all products.
