The Company develops and manufactures acellular tissues to treat a wide range of diseases, injuries, and chronic conditions. Humacyte’s initial opportunity, a portfolio of Acellular Tissue Engineered Vessel (ATEVs), is currently approved for use in vascular trauma repair and is in late-stage clinical trials targeting multiple other applications including AV access for hemodialysis and peripheral arterial disease. Preclinical development is also underway in coronary artery bypass grafts, pediatric heart surgery, treatment of type 1 diabetes, and multiple novel cell and tissue applications. Humacyte’s 6mm ATEV for AV access in hemodialysis was the first product candidate to receive the FDA’s Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation and has also received FDA Fast Track designation. JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for tracking and analyzing the costs associated with inventory, including the cost of goods sold (COGS), monitoring inventory levels, identifying variances from standard costs, and working with other departments to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost control measures are in place.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for tracking and analyzing the costs associated with inventory, including the cost of goods sold (COGS), monitoring inventory levels, identifying variances from standard costs, and working with other departments to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost control measures are in place.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately calculate the cost of producing inventory items, including the calculation and application of overhead
- Accurately report the value of raw materials, work in process and finished goods under US GAAP
- Identify and analyze discrepancies between actual inventory costs and standard costs
- Identify and analyze discrepancies between inventory records and physical inventory counts
- Create accounting entries necessary to record inventory transactions and adjustments
- Establish and maintain a high level of internal controls
- Other Duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5 years of experience in a Cost Accounting role
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles and best practices
- Proficiency using ERP, Warehouse Management and Microsoft Excel software
- Cost Accounting experience for an FDA approved product
- Sarbanes Oxley adherence and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a positive roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and optimistic outlook
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with fluctuating priorities and demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross functional teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to set own priorities in a timely manner
