Business Intelligence Manager

As Business Intelligence Manager , the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing data quality, reporting, and analytics for Human Appeal family of charities. This role focuses primarily on Salesforce data and involves collaborating with multiple departments to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance donor engagement strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

1. Data Quality Management

  • Monitor Salesforce data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
  • Lead data-cleaning initiatives and establish robust processes to improve and maintain data integrity.
  • Develop and enforce procedures to ensure data integrity and prevent data corruption
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.

2. Reporting and Dashboard Standardization

  • Oversee the creation and standardization of reports and dashboards across departments and entities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure reports and dashboards are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with organizational goals
  • 3. Data Analytics and Insights

  • Analyze data to identify trends, donor behavior, and segmentation opportunities to inform marketing and fundraising strategies.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve donor outreach, retention, and engagement.
  • Use predictive analytics and modeling to support long-term strategic decision-making.
  • 4. Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead the business intelligence function, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data and reporting needs are met efficiently.
  • Train and mentor staff on data management best practices and the effective use of business intelligence tools.
  • WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    EDUCATION / EXPERTISE :

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business Intelligence or IT related equivalent. Project management qualification or extensive experience.
  • Salesforce certifications (., Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Tableau certifications), strongly desired.
  • Certifications in data analytics or business intelligence tools, such as Tableau Specialist or Power BI Data Analyst.
  • Must have a strong background in business intelligence, data governance, and analytics, with proven leadership skills to standardize and improve data processes across the organization.
  • Nonprofit / Charity Sector Experience, Advanced Analytics Knowledge, Change Management, Global Collaboration highly desirable.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / ETC :

    1. Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in managing and analyzing data within Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Salesforce Dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • 2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Expertise in donor segmentation and trend analysis to support targeted marketing and donor outreach strategies.
  • Strategic mindset with experience in predictive analytics and forecasting.
  • 3. Leadership and Collaboration

  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading a business intelligence or data team.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand and respond to the data needs of multiple departments and entities.
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff to improve data literacy and reporting capabilities.
  • 4. Communication and Presentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled at preparing visually impactful reports and dashboards that support decision-making.
  • 5. Attention to Detail and Data Integrity

  • Strong commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency in data management.
  • Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues effectively.
  • 6. Project Management

  • Experience in managing and delivering data-related projects within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Skilled in prioritizing competing demands and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
  • May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry and / or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and / or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.

    Recovering lost livelihoods for vulnerable farmers in Gaza by planting 80,000 olive trees since 1991. The farming project provides each farmer with 30-40 prime olive trees so they can establish a vibrant, sustainable crop that yields not just food but income for generations.

    Restoring safe and secure residential spaces in Syria, like the construction of a new town with 1,000 newly constructed homes in Al Zahoor.
