TITLE
Communications Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field preferred.
2. Experience in communications/marketing/public relations required.
3. Experience with multiple social media platforms.
5. Ability to create/maintain agency website preferred.
6. Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people and organizations.
7. Must possess excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge of various software.
8. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Must possess excellent organizational skills.
10. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have dependable transportation.
11. Must be sympathetic to the goals of a Community Action Agency.
12. Must successfully pass all agency-required background checks.
WAGE
$25.00/hour plus agency fringe benefits
Fringe benefits include, but are not limited to, 4-day work week, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays per year.

Monday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Flexibility in schedule may be required

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the day-to-day management of all HDC communication platforms and all materials related to the promotion of the agency and its services.
2. Conduct in-person presentations throughout Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac and Tuscola Counties focusing on HDC as a Community Action Agency and our history of providing services in the Thumb.
3. Work with the Executive Director and/or assigned staff for the development and dissemination of the agency brochures, flyers, signage, monthly internal newsletter, external newsletters, Annual Reports, media communications during agency closures, and/or agency events that have community impact.
4. Develop and implement an effective annual community outreach plan for each of the four counties that embraces HDC’s Mission and Vision.
