Position Title: Custodian
Location: Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center, Tucson, AZ
Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
The Custodian position provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and academic training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages 16-24.
Summary of Duties: The Custodian is responsible for performing grounds keeping, landscaping and custodial duties and performs routine and emergency cleanup.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Promotes the Maintenance Program initiatives and functions.
- Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures confidentiality and no manipulation of information/data.

Cuts grass, trims shrubbery, plants and waters flowers, bushes, and grass. Shovels snow,
spreads salt and completes other duties to ensure a safe, clean and clutter-free environment. - Cleans all areas of the center, indoors and outdoors, as needed.
- Empties trash containers. Ensures that all areas are clean, clutter- and debris-free.
- Complete slight maintenance and custodial duties as assigned.
- Strips, cleans and waxes floors, moves furniture, equipment etc. Oversees Work-based Leaning trainees and other duties as assigned.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures proper equipment use: Ensures that all safety procedures are followed by staff, students and visitors.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid state drivers License
- CPR/First Aid certifications
