JOB OBJECTIVES: Incumbent is responsible for performing bookkeeping and other financial record keeping duties and various clerical and secretarial duties for the Road Department. Under general supervision of the General Superintendent.

Essential Job Functions
- Performing bookkeeping and record maintenance functions for the Road Department, including tracking project costs, maintaining records, files and ledgers;
- Reviews and processes Road Department payroll information and submits for processing;
- Prepares personnel related correspondence documents for General Superintendent and Foreman;
- Preparing, maintaining, and coordinating the vacation schedule and overtime log for the Road Crew and Traffic Safety Department;
- Informing public and governmental agencies of construction project details;
- Processing and managing the work order system;
- Prepares Invoices for salt sales, drive pipes;
- Collects incident reports and initiates insurance claims;
- Collects money from customers for drive culverts, prints, copies, etc.;
- Answering phone calls, taking service requests and completing work order forms;
- Preparing various reports.

- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
