Supported Independent Living Provider- DSP
As a Direct Support Professional at HRC, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is crucial in helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life through daily assistance and encouragement.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
- Assist clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
- Promote independence by encouraging self-advocacy and decision-making.
- Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs as required.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure a safe living environment.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and activities.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in working with people with disabilities, Associates degree with 4 years experience, or High School Diploma with 6 years
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Transport individual you are working with
- Assist the individual with managing funds, scheduling doctors' appointments, attend doctors' appointments, and assist with daily living needs such as grocery shopping.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
