Shred A-Ble Job Coach - Small Group Employment
Location: Based out of Honesdale
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Transportation: Transportation of Small Group Employment participants is required.
Job Summary
Human Resources Center, Inc. (HRC) is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to support participants in our Shred A-Ble small group employment program. In this role, you will train and supervise individuals at job sites, providing hands-on support to help them develop essential work skills and achieve success in their employment.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Training & Supervision: Provide hands-on training, coaching, and support to participants at their job sites, adapting techniques to meet individual needs.
- Workplace Success: Monitor participants' work performance, ensuring quality and productivity meet employer standards.
- Transportation Support: Arrange and provide transportation for participants, assisting in the development of independent travel skills.
- Challenge Management: Identify and report training challenges to the Manufacturing Manager for resolution.
- Communication & Advocacy: Serve as a liaison between participants, employers, supervisors, providers, and family members.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, track progress, and submit documentation to meet funding requirements.
- Employer Relations: Foster strong relationships with employers to ensure successful employment experiences for participants.
- Support Plan Implementation: Assist in developing and implementing individualized support plans and goals.
- Certifications & Training: Complete required certifications and specialized training as mandated by funding agencies.
- Additional Duties: Perform other assignments as directed by the Supervisor/Director.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional reaching, handling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs using proper body mechanics).
- Ability to assess and request assistance for lifting or transferring as needed.
- Visual requirements include close and distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
- Exposure to a variety of work settings, including mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, and office environments.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Travel is required.
Job Type & Compensation
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

Qualifications
- Strong communication and mentoring skills.
- Experience in workforce development, social work, or related fields.
- Understanding of employment and labor law.
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Skills in addiction counseling, teaching, interviewing, and training.
- Proficiency in mentoring, recruiting, and training & development.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Clearances required: PA Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Background Check, Federal Background Check.
