PW Golf Shop Front Clerk
Primary Responsibilities: The Front Clerk is responsible for providing pro shop services to patrons of the golf shop. He/She will uphold the policies, standards and guidelines set forth by his/her club. The duties for this position are as follows:
Essential Duties:
Greet members and guests in a professional manner as they enter the golf shop.
Assist in changing shop displays and shop counters weekly. Keep shop clean and merchandise neatly arranged and displayed. Assist in receiving and pricing inventory; restock floor.
Take tee times and assist in tee sheet management. Make telephone calls to fill tee sheet during off peak hours.
Assist in conducting inventory of shop merchandise and reconciliation of inventory variances.
Assures timely and appropriate opening and closing of golf shop operations.
Regulates signing in of all players; keeps cart records and sign-in sheets up to date.
Staff’s the front counter and cash register of the Pro Shop during open hours. Follows cash handling procedures and accurately provides change to customers.
Assigns tee times, and confirms advance starting times for individuals and groups.
Informs all guests of course regulations.
Sells golf shop merchandise.
Assures that golf shop supplies are on hand, including scorecards, starting sheets, tees, pencils, etc.
Assists with tournament responsibilities, as assigned.
Other Duties:
Complete other projects as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Mostly indoor pro-shop while at times outdoors
Work Hours:
Varies – Daily between 6am – 7pm
Available to be scheduled on weekends and holidays
Equipment Use:
Golf carts
Tee Times and POS Computer Systems
Two-way radio

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to follow instructions from management.
Preferred Qualification Requirements:
Past experience in golf or related field a plus.
Second language highly desirable.
