MKRS Engineering General Maintenance 3C
Primary Responsibilities: Basic maintenance, repair and installation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems assigned under general supervision. Respond to trouble calls and assist higher rated maintenance personnel in more specialized repairs or installation of appliances or other structures or systems. Perform all duties of subordinate positions. Keep logs and records.
Essential Duties:
Perform basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing work related to maintenance and upkeep of homes and its related fixtures and functions.
Perform other assignments directed by higher classified maintenance personnel.
Perform routine repairs or preventive maintenance tasks.
Care and clean all tools and equipment.
Assist all other engineers as required.
Respond to trouble calls and able to troubleshoot to determine the problem and parts needed for scope of work.
Perform duties following safety procedures and policies.
Assist in special projects.
Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Other Duties:
Train and direct lower grade personnel in the department.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Calibrate equipment.
Working Conditions:
Work in various homes throughout the resort.
May work in small cramped areas, with no air conditioning or limited ventilation.
May work in high or elevated areas.
Work Hours:
Able to work shift and days determined by manager.
May be scheduled more than 40 hours a week, if needed
Equipment Use:
Telephone and radio.
Various office equipment including but not limited to calculators, photocopiers and facsimile machines.
Repair and maintenance tools and equipment, i.e., screwdriver, nut driver, channel locks, side cutter, wrench, wire stripper, utility knife, tape ruler, ladder, hammer, drill, leveler, electrical tester, safety glasses, knee pads, gloves, paint brushes and tools, toilet plunger, flashlight, head light, scraper,
Company vehicles to travel throughout the resort and off property.
Mental and Physical Demands:
Able to prioritize and organize workload.
Able to manage stressful and challenging situations.
Able to stand and walk during most of shift.
Able to bend, kneel, squat and climb ladder to do repair and maintenance work.
Able to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs; move furniture or appliances, carry and load/unload tools and equipment.
Communication Demands:
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to employees, department manager and guests/clients and homeowners.
Able to communicate over the phone.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Trade school degree or equivalent in related work experience.
Driver’s License.
Safely operate vehicles
Salary : $27 - $32
