Role Overview:
This is a full-cycle sales role responsible for driving new business revenue for Human. The role includes outbound lead generation, developing strategic partnerships, managing inbound leads, and closing deals. The primary focus is on securing long-term, recurring revenue contracts (80%-90%) while also capturing one-off project opportunities (10%).
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, and sales strategy. They will work closely with leadership to set realistic sales quotas, build and maintain a robust pipeline, and refine sales processes to maximize efficiency and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth & Quota Management
- Own and meet new business revenue targets, with a focus on recurring revenue deals (MRR) and secondary emphasis on project-based revenue.
- Work with leadership to set annual and quarterly quotas based on historical performance and growth goals.
- Provide sales forecasting and revenue projections.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent new business opportunities.
- Manage and optimize HubSpot CRM to track all leads, sales activities, and conversion metrics.
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Develop outbound strategies to identify and engage high-value prospects.
- Outbound development (email, LinkedIn, calls), industry events, and networking to drive new opportunities.
- Identify and test new lead-generation channels
Strategic Partnerships & Referral Network
- Identify and cultivate relationships with agencies, consultants, and industry partners who can refer high-quality leads.
- Develop referral programs and incentives to encourage ongoing partnerships.
- Maintain strong communication and engagement with key partners.
Inbound Lead Management & Closing
- Own the inbound sales process—qualify, nurture, and close leads generated through existing marketing efforts.
- Optimize the sales funnel to improve close rates and shorten sales cycles.
- Work collaboratively with marketing to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Track and report on all key sales metrics to leadership.
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and propose optimizations.
- Work with leadership to refine pricing strategies, sales collateral, and proposals.

Revenue & Sales Goals
- New Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) Secured
- New Project-Based Revenue Closed
Sales Performance Metrics
- Inbound Close Rate (qualified inbound leads converted to customers)
- Outbound & Partnership Opportunities Generated (new leads from cold outreach partner referrals)
- Total Sales Opportunities Created (net new deals in pipeline)
- Total Pipeline Value (sum of all active deals in CRM)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in ecommerce, digital marketing, or professional services.
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue quotas.
- Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce marketing and paid media
- Excellent relationship-building skills for partnership development.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with marketing and leadership.
