Description
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Uphold the mission of Humane Animal Rescue throughout all responsibilities of the position
- Understand and support the Open Door Philosophy of Humane Animal Rescue.
- Performs daily cleaning, feeding, and enrichment of all animals at the Wildlife Center based on condition and age.
- Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, managers, directors, volunteers, interns, and presenters.
- Assists with the maintenance and up keep of the Wildlife Center, including cleanliness of office area, animal treatment areas and kitchen.
- Assists with the routine cleaning including dishes and laundry for the Wildlife Center.
- Assists with the training of volunteers and interns for the Wildlife Center.
- Assists with daily activities such has daily hand feedings of infant wildlife at the Wildlife Center.
- Upholds all policies and procedures in accordance with the Clinic Manager.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with the husbandry of wild animals helpful, but not necessary.
- Excellent customer service experience and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Meticulous recording-keeping.
- Ability to remain calm in times of stress, especially when handling animals.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to frequently move, bend, handle animals, and lift up to 50 lbs.
