Summary
We are seeking an Engagement Manager to join our team at the Humane Society for Hamilton County. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering community relationships and managing efforts to support our mission. This position is vital for enhancing our outreach and ensuring that we continue to be a beacon of hope for animals in need.
Responsibilities
Lead programming and partnerships with local organizations, schools, and libraries.
Manage grassroots fundraising initiatives within the local business community.
Oversee donation drives and special initiatives.
Write press releases and prepares information for the media.
Write and draft creative content for various communication channels.
Serve as a mediaspokesperson for the organization and connect staff to media requests as needed.
General support of HSHC large fundraising events.
Support team with physical set-up and tear-down of events.
Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure additional funding.
Requirements
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Constant Contact).
Experience in developing communication strategies and campaigns.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Experience in media relations and creating content for diverse audiences.
Be a self-starter with problem-solving skills, initiative and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are surrounded by the distractions of animal sounds, smells, and their respective allergens. Comfortable handling animals.
