Volunteer Coordinator
We are on a mission to promote the welfare of animals and to improve the lives of animals both in the shelter and throughout our community.
How does the Volunteer Coordinator help achieve this mission?
- Volunteers are a critical part of the success HSWC! As such, the Volunteer Coordinator (VC) will serve as the liaison between volunteers and the shelter. The VC will work with other leadership to identify areas of growth for the volunteer program, new volunteer opportunities throughout the shelter, and facilitate direct engagement opportunities between staff and volunteers. The VC will also implement a volunteer recognition program.
What qualifications does a candidate for Volunteer Coordinator need to be considered?
- You must have a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or managerial experience.
- This position will require working on weekends, especially Saturdays.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel).
- You must have a passion to save lives and see animals placed in their forever homes!
