Senior Accountant - Contract Position

• Prepare reconciliations of various accounts to ensure the accuracy of general ledger balances.
• Execute specific journal entries while maintaining comprehensive supporting documentation.
• Collect necessary information and prepare detailed audit schedules.
• Review financial statements and deliver detailed variance analysis to management.
• Prepare month-end financial statements and engage in the complete cycle of accounting close.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Controller to develop robust policies and procedures ensuring compliance within the finance domain.
• Report reconciliation findings through oral and written presentations, discussing any material weaknesses, deficiencies, and recommending actionable improvements.
• Coordinate the timely preparation of various tax and regulatory filings including sales / use tax, unclaimed property, property taxes, and ensure prompt filing of annual 990's and 1065 forms for affiliates.

This is a temporary role starting on March 1 for a 3-month assignment. The position is remote with occasional office visits required. Candidates must reside in the greater Philadelphia area. The pay range for this position is $40-45 / hr.
