Private Practice Dispensing Audiologist

We are a locally owned, private practice located in California on the beautiful north coast. We live and work where others vacation! This is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated, reliable dispensing audiologist who is interested in a great work-life balance in a warm and welcoming office environment. The compensation package includes a guaranteed salary plus incentive pay for an earning potential of over $100,000, with a relocation package, sign-on-bonus, continuing education, health insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan.

We are looking for an expert diagnostician who loves helping people of all ages hear better through the use of the latest hearing aid technology. The perfect candidate will be a flexible, enthusiastic, kind, and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills. The best fit for our practice will be someone who loves being a part of team and rolls-up their sleeves to pitch in wherever needed.

Job Functions:

Performs diagnostic exams for both pediatric and adult populations

Selects and fits appropriate amplification using best practices

Performs hearing aid checks, troubleshooting, repairs, and cleanings

Makes hearing healthcare recommendations to physicians, patients, and family members

Organizes and tracks hearing aid new and repair orders

Coordinates patient care with local health care professionals by returning phone calls and reaching out as needed

Performs outreach, marketing, and community education seminars as required

In addition to professional responsibilities, the audiologist will also be responsible for helping out through out the practice as needed and time permitting

Requirements:

Applicant will have a Doctorate in Audiology, Au.D.

Current California Audiologist Licensure and California Hearing Aid Dispensing License required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills

The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients

The ability to work in, and contribute to a team environment

The ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude

Strong compassion, care, and respect for patients

A strong desire to succeed and learn

Humboldt Audiology was founded in 2005 and is located in Eureka CA, the heart of Humboldt County on California’s scenic north coast. Hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, hunting and many more outdoor opportunities abound in our local area. Humboldt County is also home to a vibrant art and music scene. Throughout the year, our local towns celebrate several different festivals, holiday traditions and community gatherings like our wonderful Farmer’s Markets.

Our team is comprised of our owner, Dr. Trisha Ostermeier, Au.D., an audiology assistant, a front office lead, an office manager and a second doctor of audiology. We are excited to find the perfect fit for our fun-loving and dedicated customer care team. Humboldt Audiology provides expert hearing healthcare to our local community and the surrounding areas. We are a successful, rural practice and stay quite busy. We focus on diagnostic and hearing aid services for people of all ages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
