POSITION SUMMARY |
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the retail coffee line at Humboldt General Hospital. This position provides excellent customer service while simultaneously creating coffee beverages and other specialty foods and beverages in a timely manner as requested. |

Greets all customers promptly and courteously; receives payment for food and drink from staff and visitors. |

Plans and coordinates monthly specials. |

Keeps work area clean and sanitary, takes out trash as necessary, performs cleaning duties. |

Labels, dates, and stores food items according to dietary policies and procedures. |

Maintains department records, reports and files as required, promptly recording all required information. |

Proper use of the Point-of-Sale system and balance cash drawer. |

G |
Completes ordering and restocking as directed by supervisor. |

Respond promptly to changes in workload, adjusting assignments as necessary to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency. |

Maintains and follows recipes to provide consistent products and reduce waste. |

Assumes other departmental positions or duties or assists with special functions as requested by the supervisor. |

Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS |
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Appropriate education or experience to meet the personal qualifications of the position of barista.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Previous food beverage and/or coffee (barista) experience is preferred. Able to read, write, and understandably speak the English language. Ability to make independent decisions. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
