What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at Hume Lake Christian Camps?
Vision for the Role: The Hume Lake Facilities Technician performs work related to electrical installation repair, improvements, relocation, and troubleshooting in new and remodel construction to ensure a positive experience for both staff and guests. The technician will also diagnose and repair residential and commercial appliances.

The Role:
- Perform all work related to electrical including installation repair, improvements, relocation, and troubleshooting in new and remodeling construction.
- Install and service all types of appliances commercial or residential as needed.
- Develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on organizational needs.
- Ensure the organization’s philosophy, mission, and vision are pertinent and practiced.
- Build healthy relationships with all people who work in and for maintenance.
- Project a friendly attitude; to meet the needs of all maintenance customers.
- Must be able to care for the spiritual needs of guests and staff.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Evidenced commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel with others.
- Must agree with Hume Lake’s Statement of Belief and be willing to abide by Hume Lake’s Code of Conduct.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the electrical field including installation and repairs in new and remodeling construction.
- Must have the ability to read and understand construction blueprints, codes, maintenance repair manuals, appliance wiring schematics.
- Must be able to calculate electrical loads.
- Must be able to live in available Hume Lake housing or provide private accommodations conducive to being on call for guest and staff needs.
Physical Requirements:
- The staff member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions and at a high altitude.
