Job Overview :
The Water Billing Coordinator is responsible for performing various clerical tasks such as data entry, water and sewer billing, abatement processing, and providing customer support through phone and in-person interactions. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and generating regular reports.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate multi-line phone systems to manage and direct incoming calls, ensuring proper handling or relaying of messages. Assist customers with billing inquiries at the counter.
- Accurately enter and update data related to water and sewer usage, approved abatements, and customer information. Maintain both electronic and physical records.
- Assist in the calculation and processing of abatement requests, ensuring timely recording and communication of approved abatements.
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly, or periodic reports as needed.
- Support other departments with data entry, filing, and record management tasks when required.
- Comply with all departmental, city, and government regulations, policies, and procedures.
