ARS Assistant Project Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for assisting the Project Management group in overall administration, planning, installation and reporting for small or larger more complex low voltage electrical construction projects

• Assist Project Manager in supervising general foremen, foremen and their crews in a manner as to comply with contracts executed by ECSI, union agreements, and all policies and procedures established by the Company.
• Maintain and develop good customer relations.
• Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while recognizing a company commitment to quality workmanship, positive industry image and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing, processing and maintaining all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing, necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.
• Responsible for purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.
• Coordinate and oversee vendors and subcontractors and schedule construction activities, including material procurement for construction.
• Track project development and productivity including managing electrical cable routing and termination information, creating project progress reports and perimeters and create schedules for filed installation.
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
• Participate as a team member during the bidding process as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management or similar discipline required with Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and equivalent experience.
• National Electrical Code knowledge/experience.
• Drawing/blueprint reading and specification experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills. Microsoft Project and CAD experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
