Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar effectively.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone calls, answer inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Assist with medical coding and ensure accurate documentation.
- Utilize Athenahealth or similar systems for patient management and scheduling.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks as needed.
- Support the dental team with various administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental or medical setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical scheduling practices.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably Athenahealth.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently, including 10 key typing skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
