To carry out all sales and customer service responsibilities as required for the sale and promotion of the entire product portfolio for Ascend Packaging Systems, LLC. The position is based in our office located in Schaumburg, IL with approximately 25-50% of the time spent travelling. We primarily serve the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets.

To carry out all sales and customer service responsibilities as required for the sale and promotion of the entire product portfolio for Ascend Packaging Systems, LLC. The position is based in our office located in Schaumburg, IL with approximately 25-50% of the time spent travelling. We primarily serve the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets.
Primary duties and responsibility:
- Respond to customer requests for quotations.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their technical queries and concerns.
- Manage customer orders.
- Actively solicit business from existing customers, and new prospects.
- Complete sales administration responsibilities, including developing and maintaining account profiles, utilization of sales information system; timely and accurate paperwork completion, quote generation and follow-up.
- Work closely with our international supply partners as required to help respond to customer needs.
- Weekly Sales Report on previous week’s sales, upcoming sales projection and previous week’s quality calls.
- Achieve and continually build technical knowledge of our products, technologies and services.
- Manage the marketing and promotion of Ascends products and services.
- Organize annual trade show.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- College degree in business or related field, or professional experience in lieu of education.
- Five (5) years sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent writing skills. Excellent phone skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be very organized, and capable of multi-tasking.
- Solid computer skills and ability to utilize sales information management databases. Must be experienced with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Must be professionally mature, and able to adapt to independent and team-oriented environments.
- Behave with integrity, keeping commitments to co-workers, customers and the company.
- Self-Starter – Ability to locate and close new client opportunities, Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
