Title: Purchasing Intern
Department: Purchasing
Reports To: Chief Purchasing Manager or Assigned Mentor
Responsibilities:
- Assist Purchasing Agents and Assistant Purchasing Agents with prequalification of Subcontractors through use of TradeTapp prequalification website
- Assist Purchasing Agents and Assistant Purchasing Agents with compiling Subcontracts
- Assist Purchasing Agents and Assistant Purchasing Agents with creating Bidders lists for projects and following up to ensure proper coverage in all trades
- Assist PA’s & APA’s in soliciting trade bids and leveling them
- Arranging and coordinating meetings between Subcontractors and Purchasing/Operations team
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate College or University with a sophomore status or junior status
- Must be a construction management, engineering or related major
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to work as a team member and to manage competing priorities in fast paced environment
- Available to work M-F from 8am - 5pm
