What We’re Looking For:

• Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (but not required).
  • 3 years of relevant experience in outside sales, customer service, or parts sales is a plus, but a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships.

• Certifications (Preferred):

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications.
  • Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification.

• Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet company insurability standards.
  • Must be able to drive across county and state lines.

What You’ll Do:

As a Parts Outside Sales Associate, you will be the face of Hunter Truck, building relationships with customers and driving sales through active engagement and strategic outreach. Your key duties will include:

• Customer Engagement:

  • Visit assigned customers and prospect for new business within your designated territory.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.

• Order Management:

  • Communicate parts orders to the parts counterperson, ensuring smooth delivery and fulfillment.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with delivery dates for non-stock items.
  • Negotiate and secure special pricing with the parts manager when necessary.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with service salespeople to coordinate service sales and ensure all customer needs are met.
  • Update and maintain customer records, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Administrative Duties:

  • Submit timely call reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
  • Attend training seminars to continue growing your expertise.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance for your company vehicle.

• Brand Representation:

  • Act as a public relations liaison for the dealership, representing Hunter Truck in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safety policies to support a safe working environment.
