Are you an experienced Computer Technician PRO with hardware troubleshooting and installation, like driving and being on the move on the field? Then join our growing Tech Team of the Lead supplier for B2B vending, POS, and coin-operated machines in the Pitsburg, PA area!
Hunter Wave is looking for a technician who will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, diagnosing, and troubleshooting both hardware and software problems. Perform preventative maintenance on our equipment and ensure that IT infrastructure is in place and used to its maximum capabilities.
The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Complete installations and provide support at client locations (small local businesses) in the Pitsburg, PA area.
- Set up, install, and configure hardware and software
- Hands-on and field-based work with over 90% of time spent on the route. (Travel reimbursement is provided)
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Microsoft Windows / UNIX hardware and software problems
- Install and configure new PC hardware and software on desktops, ATMs, amusement devices, laptops, and peripherals such as phones, printers, external drives, and other related hardware
- Develop, prepare, test, and deploy hard drive images and be capable of supporting users in a virtual desktop environment.
- Perform basic computer wired and wireless network troubleshooting
- Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g., routers) or peripheral devices
- Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies
- Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
- Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly
- Test new hardware and software
- Deliver devices, instruct, and visit clients - BE ON CALL
Skills:
- Proven experience as a computer technician or similar role
- Experience working as a field technician with small local businesses is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Very good communication abilities
- Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A ) will be an advantage
- Ability to lift or move around some heavy machines/kiosks/devices if needed
- Bilingual in Spanish will put you on top of our list
This position requires to stay on route at least 90% of the time. Candidates must own a car and have a valid Driver's License.
Please note that first 2 weeks of training will be conducted in our office in Pitsburg_ and the position also includes occasional visits to our office._
