What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Hunting Energy Services?
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the project teams through coordination of schedules, kick-off and preproduction meetings, communication with customers regarding advance notifications, document transmittals, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project manager in creating the baseline schedule using Microsoft Projects for all projects, work with project manager to maintain throughout project life.
- Assists the Project Managers with updates to active project schedules on a regular basis, helps prepare schedule related reports and updates to customers.
- Assist Project Managers in arranging customer meetings to review schedules, issues, and action items.
- Responsible for coordination of third party inspectors, customer witness points including notifications, changes in notifications, etc. Working with purchasing and quality to ensure NDE personnel are updated on all schedule changes.
- Anticipate problems and concerns and provide timely solutions.
- Attend vendor schedule meeting and report out to project managers
- Lead the coordination of customer document transmittals including but not limited to: drawing and document submittals, approvals, distribution, and revision control.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the customer’s third-party inspection companies.
- With the Quality team, coordinate inspection notifications and communications to customers and other interested parties.
- Assist Project Manager with budget analysis.
- Lead smaller projects as opportunities arise.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 4-year college degree
- 3-5 years experience associated with in manufacturing, planning or project coordination
- Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft word, Excel, and Projects
- Knowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systems
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical data to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experienced in machine shop/welding environment preferred
- Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
- Team oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to read and comprehend engineering drawings
