RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welder 1, 2, 3
- Study/follow job order, documentation and sample product to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
- Select material/equipment to plan and follow through with layout, assembly and welding.
- Repair product as needed.
- Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Set up equipment and weld parts, using various arc, gas shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure welds meet company standards, national code requirements and customer job 5E.
- Submits orders to the purchasing department for materials.
- Manages workflow of welding area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts; in high perch places; and in outside weather conditions. Frequent exposure to fumes or air particles (red hot metal), v point of light requiring sight protection, and risk of electrical shock.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.
- Welding certification a plus.
- Have mechanical skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes and materials.
- Able to Mig weld, Tig weld, Stick weld, run various cutting torches and plasma arc cut.
- Must be willing to work with molten lead and submit to bi-annual testing for lead.
- Must possess organizational and leadership skills.
- Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Able to provide improvement to processes as required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat training.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
