What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Developer position at Hunting?

Responsibilities :

Develop, test, and debug Python and C applications
Maintain and support existing applications and working on new applications for new products / projects
Collaborate with other developers, designers, system admins, and customers
Integrate user-facing elements into applications
Test and debug programs
Implement security and data protection solutions
Assess and prioritize feature requests
Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
Other duties as assigned.
This position requires on-site presence to perform the essential duties.

Skills / Experience

Education and Training

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

Experience

Proficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD and / or other engineering field-related design software

Work experience as a Python Developer

Windows app development using Python

Expertise with Qt / PySide, and experience with numpy.

Technical Requirements / Skills

Excellent technical writing ability

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong understanding of Analog, Digital and Microprocessor circuits

Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Able to provide improvement to processes as required.

Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

Comfortable working in both a team environment and independently.

Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

Strong problem-solving competencies.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license and record that conforms to company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat training.

Work Authorization / Security Clearance :

Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.

Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not quality), in accordance with ATF regulations.

Must not have any personal or legal domestic or international travel restrictions.
