Summary
Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! This position is located in Norfolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will perform corrective and preventative maintenance mechanical operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment in support of Maritime Special Operations Forces Support (MSOFS) Watercraft.
- This role is contingent upon being awarded the contract.
What You Will Do
The types of specialized equipment to be supported include but is not limited to : Combatant Craft variants (CCA, CCH, CCM), Special Operations Craft-Riverine (SOC-R), Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs), Maritime Combatant Craft Aerial Delivery System, SEAL Delivery Vehicle and dry deck shelter, ground mobility vehicles and other tactical vehicles. Various dive equipment and weapons that are standard issued to NSW operators are also considered equipment

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
