Huntington University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in the Business and Economics Department. This position is available beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. Successful candidates will be passionate about developing the next generation of leaders who are being called to serve our communities, to provide meaningful work for others, to generate profit for good and to be godly and ethical global citizens. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to assist students in developing professional and life skills in oral and written communication, problem-solving and research, leadership and interpersonal relationships, and analytical and strategic thinking.
Evidence of successful teaching within a business curriculum is expected. Special preparation in teaching accounting, finance, or management is desired. The ideal candidate will have additional professional leadership experience outside of academia.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a strong personal Christian commitment and faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others
- Must be committed to the mission of Huntington University as a comprehensive Christian College dedicated to educating men and women to impact our world for Christ
- PhD or DBA in business preferred, appropriate Master’s level degree required
- Relevant experience in business desired
- Demonstrated understanding of Christian higher education, preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and leading others
- Commitment to scholarship and assessment of learning
- Possession of or ability to develop a network to assist students in making professional connections
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a variety of settings
