Position : Residential HVAC Service Technician

Typical Work Hours : Monday – Friday. Typically between the hours of 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm.

Compensation : $28.00 - $41.00 / hour. Benefits include medical, dental, & vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plan, and included paid vacation per year.

Duties and Responsibilities

Completes all general HVAC in-home service calls

Establishes customer rapport to sell the right products and services

Asks proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions

Educates and assists customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans

Understands service criteria and is accountable for exceeding revenue goals

Works with customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business

Maintains a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck

Participates actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats

Trains and mentors apprentices to ensure efficient, accurate repairs and installations

Accurate and timely completion of invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets

Regular, prompt, on-site attendance essential for managing technicians and equipment

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities :

Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications

Proven track record in heating and cooling systems including ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints, and other diagrams

Clean driving record

Highly organized with exceptional follow through abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements.

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least two years related experience required.

Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying.

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
