Regional Senior Controller

Huntsman is seeking a Regional Senior Controller supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas . This position will report to the Americas Finance Director.

Job Scope

The Senior Controller will oversee all controllership activities across multiple manufacturing plants within the Americas region. This leadership role involves managing the financial health of the plants, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative) spend management for divisional functions (such as sales, marketing, HR, and other corporate support functions). The Senior Controller will directly manage two plant controllers and one junior accountant, providing guidance, mentorship, and development to this team. This position will work closely with plant leadership, finance teams, and other cross-functional departments to drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and effective management of SG&A expenses throughout the region.

In summary, as the Regional Senior Controller, you will :

• Financial Management & Reporting :

Oversee the month-end close process for all plants within the Americas region, ensuring timely and accurate closure of financial records in alignment with corporate deadlines and policies.

Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for both manufacturing and SG&A expenses across the Americas region, collaborating closely with plant controllers, divisional department heads (e.g., sales, marketing, HR, and other support functions), and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with regional and corporate financial goals.

Drive cost-saving initiatives and profitability improvements across all plants by performing detailed cost analyses and identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing costs.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company accounting policies, and SOX regulations across all plants in the region.

Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team consisting of two plant controllers and one plant accountant, ensuring high performance and professional growth within the team.

Collaborate with plant operations, procurement, supply chain, and HR teams to drive financial performance improvements and operational efficiency.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
