What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Groundskeeper position at Hunziker Construction Services?
Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the site(s). Keep all grounds and common areas neat and free of litter.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintain all sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, grounds, and common areas as needed, in accordance with company standards and report any damage or issues to the Property Manager.
2. Communicate with Lead Maintenance Tech any needed services and repairs.
3. Trim and edge around walkways and flowerbeds as needed. Prune shrubs, trees and remove damaged leaves, branches and twigs.
4. Promote good public relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff by providing excellent customer service and gaining resident trust. Always display a friendly and courteous attitude toward residents and other employees. Act in a professional manner at all times.
5. Complete special projects as assigned and prioritized by management.
6. Perform all work according to company, OSHA, State Landlord Tenant Law and all Federal Fair Housing Regulations.
7. Complete any function typical of this career path as requested by management.
Experience Required:
General grounds experience, minor maintenance knowledge and the ability to learn new skills. Knowledge of safety procedures. Safety conscious, steady, dependable, and courteous.
Skills:
The following attributes are desirable for job success: general grounds experience, ability to work with pressure of deadlines, and the ability to have a flex work schedule. Good verbal communication skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds if necessary. Ability to operate all necessary hand tools for tree and shrub trimming, etc. Ability to drive to and from job sites, as needed.
Work Environment:
The employee should be able to withstand changing conditions.
