What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Clerk - Circulation position at Huron County Community Library?
The Huron County Community Library Greenwich branch is currently hiring for a Circulation Library Clerk position. The Circulation Library Clerk works closely with the Public Service Library Assistant by performing all aspects of library service in the Public Services Department with duties regarding general circulation and patron assistance. Follows procedures set by the Library Director in regards to Library Board of Trustee's policies.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Perform all circulation services including but not limited to material charge and discharge, reserves, overdue items, basic patron assistance.
Handle phone inquiries, renewals, and equipment sign-up.
Assist with interlibrary loan of materials to other libraries and schools.
See that the "Rules and Regulations for Public Behavior" are followed by patrons in the absence of a senior supervisor
Operate library equipment, including facsimile machines, copiers, computers, etc.
Attend staff meetings as called by the Library Director or Branch Librarian.
Attend NORWELD, OLC, and other professional meetings, workshops, webinars and conferences.
Participate in and assist with programming preparations as required
Assist with the preparation and delivery of homebound materials
Adhere to and publicly support the Library Board of Trustees, the Library Director, and library policies.
Promote a positive image of the library.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
