Reports To: Director of Plant Operations
Status: 80 hours per two week pay period
Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays
Job Schedule: Full time
Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Statement of Purpose:
Performs general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Maintains grounds including sidewalks, entryways, and parking lots, keeping them free of ice, show and debris.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of two years of maintenance experience and general knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling preferred.
- Current valid South Dakota driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
Working Conditions:
- Work is both indoors and outdoors in all areas of the campus with frequent exposure to loud noise, extreme temperature, dirt, dust, oil, grease, odors and fumes from oil and gas.
- Work involves stooping, kneeling, climbing, bending, crawling, stretching and standing and requires much walking throughout the buildings. Lifting is moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly). Occasional heavy exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly) lifting and carrying.
- Work is subject to burns and injury from improperly operating equipment and other injuries, but hazards are minimal if proper operational safety methods are observed.
