Job description
Senior Logistics Analyst (SLA) shall demonstrate the ability to lead a team of Junior Logistics Analysis and provide assistance in the development of their logistics knowledge / skills / abilities. SLA shall demonstrate the ability to analyze and prepare reports of Army logistics supply and maintenance programs. The analysis shall include, but not limited to, the processes of requisition / materiel release order processing, receiving activities, retrograde of Army materiel, wholesale and retail operations, property management, Logistics Modernization Program, management of classified and hazardous material, packaging / special packaging instructions, Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS). Responsibilities include preparing reports of findings, assumptions and / or risk associated with on-going programs. Demonstrate experience with the Army Materiel Command (AMC) weapon system programs, such as, PATRIOT, HIMARS, AVENGER, STINGER, MLRS. Other Department of Defense (DoD) services / programs experience will be considered. Provides oversight of Government Furnished Equipment and Contractor Acquired Property. Must have ability to analyze materiel consumption to establish reorder points to preclude the need for emergency acquisitions. Ensures policies, plans and SOPs are developed and up to date with changing environments. Monitors, controls, and review the execution of operational funds requirements IAW program objectives and scope. Reviews CDRL requirements and ensures timely submissions. Ensures CDAs are performing required inventories IAW Government standards.
Minimum Job Requirements :
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree with 6 years' experience in logistics or related discipline supporting the military / DoD
- Three additional years of task related experience (a total of nine years) may be used in lieu of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with weapons systems programs, such as PATRIOT, HIMARS, AVENGER, STINGER, MLRS or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of LMP, (Logistics Modernization Program), within the material management and warehouse management processes
- Working knowledge of the COTS (commercial off the shelf) Repair Data System
- Proficiency in MS Office Programs
