Heavy Equipment Operator

Hurricane Creek Construction is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate heavy machinery for land clearing, clear cuts, and construction projects at farms in McEwen, TN.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy farm equipment, including tractors, loaders, dozers, skid steers, excavators, and other machinery.
• Assist with pulling stumps, clearing land, and putting back into pasture.
• Put in silt fences to stop erosion and retain soil.
• Perform routine maintenance, assist mechanics in troubleshooting and basic repairs on equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and achieve farm goals.
• Assist with other farm-related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery (farm experience is a plus).
• Expert experience with a dozer and track hoe.
• Familiar with maintenance issues and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• No smoking permitted in the equipment.
• When weather and workload is permitting, able to work more than 5 days a week.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

• Mc Ewen, TN 37101 (Required)
