About the Opportunity
Michelin recommended restaurant HUSO, by Marky's Caviar and two time Top Chef winner Buddha Lo, is set to reopen in an expansive new space in the heart of Tribeca in early 2025 and is seeking experienced Front of House Staff. 
 
At HUSO, Chef Lo will serve guests an expansive tasting menu showcasing the best of the best ingredients that we are able to source both locally and from around the world. The Marky's Private Stock caviar will also be featured throughout the tasting menu but also in the form of traditional caviar service - as the original concept for the restaurant was a Caviar speakeasy. 

Position Summary
We are looking for a full-time Head Bartender to join our team.
Specific preferred availability is 2pm-11pm Wednesday through Sunday with dinner service seatings between 5:00pm and 9:30pm. 


As Head Bartender at HUSO you will be tasked with coordinating with both Front of House and Back of House management to curate and execute a bespoke cocktail and non-alcoholic beverage program. You will have a high level of input on what the bar program will feature and will be responsible to maintain adequate production throughout the course of our work week.
Given our non-traditional bar set up, sound prep and batching will be key. Partnerships with Back of House to concoct seasonal juices to be featured throughout the program will be a must. Commitment to our company values and standards are a must.
 

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within their craft.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure while maintaining composure and being respectful to both colleagues and guests.
  • Previous experience working in Fine Dining and/or Michelin starred establishment.
  • Must be comfortable of managing production load for bar program in tandem with Back of House team and Front of House management.
  • Understanding of basic steps of service required to facilitate a fine dining experience in a team oriented setting.
  • Must be able to drop and explain dishes/beverages to guests as well as assist with clearing tables, running beverages, etc.
  • Expansive knowledge of wine, beer, coffee, tea and craft cocktails.
  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time; able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs. 
 

Job Type: Full-Time - Note, we do not accept 1099 independent contractors and require proof of residency.

We are closed on most major holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.
