Directs the efficient and cost-effective operation of warehousing facilities. Manages inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management, and claims. Responsible for budgeting, customer service, facility and equipment operation. Responsible for personnel hiring, the fair and equitable administration of personnel policies and procedures, employee discipline, morale, development/training, and performance reviews per Husqvarna policy. Administers overall inventory management, productivity, accuracy, and loss prevention programs to ensure that customer requirements are met. Provide a safe and secure environment for associates and assets.

- Coordinates inbound and / or outbound activities.
- Provide for optimum level receiving efficiencies.
- Develop facility layouts to maximize space utilization, productivity, and safety.
- Develops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize workflow, space utilization, and labor productivity in warehouse facilities.
- Identify and implement new technologies and information systems as required.
- Identify, Implement, & track effective metrics for warehouse, distribution, & traffic operations.
- Organize, schedule, & staff warehouse to appropriate levels.
- Analysis of strategic and tactical processes and costs relating to warehouse operations.
- Implement safety, security, housekeeping, and sanitation programs.
- Provide information, analysis, and recommendations on overall warehouse operation.
- Enforce personnel access and access restriction policies.
- Preventative maintenance, safety, & security procedures to safeguard associates and company assets.
- Develop and maintain effective disaster recovery program for warehouse operations.:
- Develop and maintain continuous process improvement & high quality services.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and performance standards
- Fair and equitable enforcement of corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for efficient flow of product from the warehouse to the internal customer.
- Manages inventory quality and accuracy assurance program.
- Schedule and control warehouse inventories and materials flow.
- Responsible for the physical custody and overall safeguarding of inventory.
- 2 years college level training or equivalent. 4-year degree preferred.
- 8 – 10 years experience in warehouse and/or distribution.
- Experience with durable goods – preferably outdoor power equipment.
- Experience with a minimum of 25,000 SKU’s and a minimum of 7 inventory turns annually.
- Must be forklift certified
- Excellent communication skills (experience and effectiveness presenting to large groups).
- Extensive knowledge of courier shipping processes.
- Working knowledge of warehouse and inventory software computer applications.
- Working knowledge of reverse logistics processes.
